Pipasha Indian Restaurant has been voted the cream of the culinary crop in Cambridge Culinary MasterChef and co-owner, Abdul Hye, 51, received the award for the chef of the year in the Bangladesh Caterers Association Awards 2018 at a glitzy ceremony at the Park Plaza in London. 

Abdul and his business partner Modu Miah, 55, have run Pipasha since 1999 but have run restaurants around Cambridge for nearly 40 years. “We really weren’t expecting to win the award. It’s amazing to be recognised for all of our hard work. This is the biggest award we have ever won and we couldn’t have done it without our customers – our friends.
