A major milestone for Pipasha

Pipasha has been crowned Restaurant of the Year – East of England by the Bangladeshi Caterers Association at a glitzy awards ceremony at Park Plaza West Minister Bridge Hotel  London on 27th October 2019. Abdul Hye was presented the trophy and certificate accompanied by family and friends. The award comes soon after Pipasha celebrated its 20th Anniversary with a Charity Dinner, raising money for the Lisa Kent Trust.

BCA is the umbrella organization of approximately 12,000 British-Bangladeshi Restaurants and Takeaways across the UK. It was established in 1960 to represent the Catering Industry run by ethnic Bangladeshis.

Pipasha was also shortlisted for the English Curry Awards in recent months and won the Green Party for excellent vegetarian food. 

Abdul and his business partner Modu Miah, 55, have run Pipasha since 1999 but have run restaurants around Cambridge for nearly 40 years.
